Our Learning Center

The best Pre-K programs inspire children to be curious about how things work, how to find answers to problems, and spark a lifelong love of learning. And that is our goal for your child!

Our Pre-K program prepares your child for success in Kindergarten and beyond. We work hard to provide fun experiences in language, math, science, social studies, music and art. We build on your child’s interests and plan lessons that are both relevant and engaging. By providing a strong foundation in Pre-K, students are better prepared to build on these skills in later academic years.

Literacy

Literacy skills include reading, speaking, and listening. These skills are essential for communication and comprehension. Johnson's Learning teachers use various methods to introduce literacy to young children, such as reading books aloud, storytelling, singing songs, and engaging in hands-on activities that promote language development.

Writing

Writing education in Pre-K learning is focused on developing the fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination necessary for writing. Teachers use a variety of activities to help children develop these skills, such as coloring, drawing, and tracing shapes and letters.  Pre-K teachers often use guided writing activities to introduce children to the concept of writing, such as having children dictate a sentence while the teacher writes it down.

Mathematics

Our mathematics education is focused on developing a foundation of basic numerical concepts, such as counting, recognizing numbers, and understanding simple patterns. Our teachers use a variety of hands-on activities, such as counting blocks, sorting objects by size and shape, and simple addition and subtraction exercises, to help students develop these skills.
